Good that you’re not going back again. What’s wrong with that? They are trying to form a strong team with talent and mental toughness. Only strong people will survive in the real world. Please take your soft kid somewhere else—you definitely don’t belong here. Other kids who need it more will take the spot.

Nope. That is not the same thing. This was a group of current players and 9 other outside players. 4 outside players were told to stay with the current team and then the 5 outside players were told to “just go, leave”. Those 5 13 year old girls walked off the field while everyone watched. I wish it were a lie but I posted it here because people should know how horrible these coaches are to keep their kids safe. This is not normal behavior! Do not normalize this behavior for your daughter!

They told girls they could go at both of the 2012 sessions too. They were told they could go because their team was finished scrimmaging.

The one some guy was bragging about yesterday, probably his kid, and how skills could be developed (they clearly haven't been) but speed can't (other girls are just as fast now).

College coaches want to remain employed and they can only do that if they can identify and recruit the best talent—like any good company. ECNL is their deepest talent pool.
Not sure if this is coming from an Arlington parent, but 2011's aside, what Arl team do you consider to be "cream of the crop" or "a deep talent pool"? Most of us noticed the 10-0 drubbing you took at the hands of Bethesda a few weeks back.
Agreed! Vast majority of ARL teams are mediocre at best.
Serious question-why the focus on how well the team does in rankings? Once the kids are high school age, the club needs teams that are mid-table or better. That’s it. So long as you make it to the showcases at nationals, then your kid will be seen by hundreds of college coaches. It’s really a fact the college coaches recuit players not teams. You just need the overall team to be good enough that kids can show how well they can execute core skills, how they handle pressure, and how to push through bad moments. If you look at the last couple of years of Arlington girls, you see several P4 kids, and then an avalanche of kids going to schools that every normie parent would dream about being lucky enough to receive an acceptance letter.
Arlington is good enough to not be in fear of losing ECNL status, has individual players who get called up for big honors, and an army of kids that colleges believe will be additive to their college program.
