That’s nice. The Target boycott is national though. If you actually want to be “sure” you’ll need to look beyond your own experiences at one store — even if you’ve been there to observe as much as “no matter the time of day or day of the week” is trying to suggest. Also using phrases like: “HUB for woke” suggests that this post is disingenuous — at best. Try harder.
How did you come up with that world salad so early in the day? You should take your own advice to look beyond your own experiences, in everything. Alexandria is insufferable, I live here for decades. I love the local "influencer" who spent her insta stories and Tik Tok this week explaining why she had to still shop at Target and WF this week in case anyone saw her there. No one cares about whether I shop there, you shop there or she shops there.
That particular Target is one of the most profitable Targets in the country. I am not there to observe, I went to buy something. I am not boycotting Target or Whole Foods or whatever.
I think I just got MAGA bingo and it's not even 9 yet. Whooooo!
Nope. I voted for Harris but keep on believing.
That Target has empty shelves a lot because they can’t keep the shelves stocked. It has the highest turnover in stock/merchandise in the country. There was a lot of concern of its elimination if that new arena came there because it’s so profitable.
Yes, I hear that a lot
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:It's hard to keep up with this nonsense. So people are actually boycotting Target because they eliminated racist DEI /affirmative action policies?
This is almost as bad as maga maggots nonsense.
Yes people are actually choosing not to spend money in a store that went back on their commitment. But the Supreme Court says money is speech so no, it’s not nonsense, it’s a clear non-violent message to Target to do better, and to retailers like Costco that maintaining those programs is financially beneficial.
“maga maggots nonsense” would be if they held a riot.
Anonymous wrote:I wonder how much of this is due to boycotting, and how much is due to decreased consumer confidence/spending overall? If people are cutting back on the Target impulse purchase stuff of, like, the decorative throw pillows and costume jewelry and stuff because they’re concerned about their own personal financial situation, they’re already spending less at Target. And then they may think, well if I’m mostly just here to buy groceries, I can get those cheaper at Aldi or Lidl, or I can just go to the regular grocery store that’s closer to my house. How are sales at Walmart and Sam’s Club lately?

They removed their diversity, equity, and inclusion policies after making a big show for years of having them.
I've started shopping at Costo instead. Their board decided to keep their DEI policies, but the Trump admin is trying to bully companies into getting rid of them.
OP
Costco discriminates against Asians. Don't shop there.

Sure,.sure
- Asian
How? The DC Costco customer base is approximately 1/3 Asian shoppers. And those are the ones that are easily identifiable as Asian, so it could be greater.
