They are so tone deaf. All the crazy policies that made zero sense didn't work. We MUST appeal to common sense.
ZERO chance Dems retake the Senate next cycle. Look at the map and retirements. Dems have a slim chance for the House. It is clear things will be put in place to make the battle to get the house an uphill battle. The only shot is 4 years from now.
This is just a perfect picture of what is wrong with the world and why we are completely screwed.
Racism and sexism is exactly why Kamala lost, and the racists and sexists loudly proclaim "calling us racists and sexists racist and sexist only makes us want to be more racist and sexist!"
So our choices are placate the racists and sexists (and by doing so give up any chance to improve racism and sexism) or let the racists and sexists run the asylum.
Oh look it's literally what I just described...

+1000. Harris did not run on trans issues. Neither did the majority of Democrats.
Republicans brought up trans issues in every campaign rally and falsely claimed she ran on it, even to the point of making up bogus slogans like "Trump is for you, Harris is for they/them" or whatever the hell it was.
It was effective, but it was a lie and sadly tens of millions of Americans did not know they were being manipulated like that.

It’s a very depressing situation.
If someone says they’re against DEI, forget the acronym.
Make them use the words.
Ask why they’re against diversity.
Ask why they’re against equity.
Ask why they’re against inclusion.
Equity is racist and Marxist social engineering. I believe in a meritocracy. MLK said that he had a dream that one day people would be judged by the content of their character, not the color of their skin. Liberals don’t believe in his words. I hope for MLK’s dream for my children.

- Stop focusing on issues that impact the minority of the population (I don’t care if someone is trans, wants to go by they/them, is non-binary or whatever, and no one should be discriminated against for these things. but I do not know a single person falling into these categories - and I live in DC, not the middle of nowhere).
- Focus on issues that impact the vast majority of the population (both republicans and democrats): cost of childcare, cost of college, student loans, healthcare, etc.
- Make it clear that the Democratic Party does not condone illegal immigration in any way, shape or form, particularly violent criminals
- soften the language on the abortion issue (I am pro choice, but grew up Catholic and some of the democrats come off almost as if they are promoting abortion versus acknowledging that oftentimes it is a sad, difficult choice).
I am an independent, left leaning voter FWIW.
This +100

I’d respond “what, specifically, do you mean by ‘diversity, equity, inclusion’?” And nobody would be able to tell me because it’s all just vibes at best or racism at worst.
