This is how it starts, and Trump will feign ignorance when it happens.
Fauci has security. It’s just that taxpayers are no longer on the hook for it.
It is taxpayers who he is in danger from. Seems only right that taxpayers should pay for his security.
You could say that about anyone in government who has experienced a death threat. If there is one, you investigate and prosecute.
You don’t provide taxpayer provided security for every instance for all of time going forward.
In normal times, you do. But Trump is not normal and prefers for his enemies, I e., public servants, to be fearful and in danger.
Nice.
He is tightening government spending, the whole point behind DOGE.
Well. He could cut back spending for his his five kids and their numerous children.

That man cashed in and is worth many millions and can certainly manage his own security. It's surely not the norm for every muckety muck to get secret service details for decades after leaving government.
Is it normal for the president to realize more than 1,000 goons, who have already committed violence in his name? They were found guilty in a court of law. Now they are roaming around our streets (I would take an illegal alien over them anytime!)
Oh give it a rest. Your guy sent a man who killed two cops from prison to his comfy house. Pardon power isn’t a new thing and the person who abused it most was Biden.
Did Biden put who he perceived as an enemy in danger by cutting off their security? Nope, because he isn’t a spiteful (fill in the blank) like the current occupant of the WH. But as other posters have pointed out, magas aren’t capable of having a sane rationale conversation. Do you also argue with everyone you work with?
Yes!!! That basically happened. A punk kid almost killed candidate Trump last summer (and instead killed a rally attendee) all while Biden admin denied the Trump campaign’s requests for more security.
The incompetence of the Secret Service in PA was so egregious that I understand why some people think it was intentional.
Ignoring the post above is just going to get it thrown at you again.
Trump already had as much or more secret service protection as any other Presidential candidate prior to him. Trump was asking for MORE than that and that's what got denied.
And there's no evidence that Biden or Mayorkas were directly involved in denying the requests for more security. The denial came as a result of insufficient funding and staffing, so you can blame Congress for that.
And when Trump did get shot they bent over backwards to provide him with more security, drawing resources away from other details that needed it.

Ok, and now it’s retribution time? Or what is the logic of your argument?

Um, yes he did. Trump’s security detail asked for more resources this past year and they were denied by the Biden administration.
And then he got shot.

It sure does. His position is a totally normal position that has, for various reasons, engendered feelings toward him that may cause unhinged loons to do something dangerous towards him. He is/was not receiving protection for something he did as a private citizen but because of work that he did as a government employee.
Fauci governed like an unhinged loon, so its only fitting similar people are drawn to him.
For example:
"“I don’t think we should shake hands ever again, to be honest with you,” Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said. “Not only would it be good to prevent coronavirus, it probably would decrease instances of influenza dramatically in this country,” he told a Wall Street Journal podcast.
Dr Fauci, who has helped co-ordinate the US response to Covid-19, added that when the pandemic fades he would be in favour of “absolute compulsive hand-washing” becoming a fixture of everyday life."
He set the tone for America and the legion of mentally broken people he left in his wake are his legacy.

Going to have to correct you on some points there:
Trump already had as much or more secret service protection as any other Presidential candidate prior to him. Trump was asking for MORE than that and that's what got denied.
And there's no evidence that Biden or Mayorkas were directly involved in denying the requests for more security. The denial came as a result of insufficient funding and staffing, so you can blame Congress for that.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:His position doesn’t warrant taxpayer funded security. He is paying for his own going forward as is appropriate.
Agree. He does not need a govt funded security detail anymore
Neither do Trump's adult children besides Barron. I hope they're not getting a single thing on the government dime.
I don’t believe any adult kids of presidents get secret service? I’m pretty sure that has always been expected to be privately paid.
I think they do while the parent is in office at least that is how I interpreted it.

Then he was caught at a baseball game violating his own recommendations.
He pulled the mask down for a few minutes to drink water. He was outdoors. The people next to him were his wife and a close friend. So FO with that BS.

The photo shows he wasn’t drinking, he was looking at his phone.
There was no one around him but his family. Give it a break.
Then how come I couldn’t take my family to a playground during the pandemic?
