Enough.

Your content is still out there being viewed and commented on by users in other countries and we have no control over that. You have no ability to block users or shut down your account.

Lots of gen x and boomers (and even some silent gen) on TikTok. Some of the best creators in fact…

+1

Thank goodness Granny D is also on Insta.

How can you hate something you’ve never even tried?

You sound like my 4 year old when they say they don’t like a food they’ve never tried.

I didn't have to use it to know about the platform.

And this is how we get bad policy. Folks who get scared by propaganda and don’t bother to find out for themselves.

I love when people actually try to stay up with relevant technology as they age and interact/share things with younger generations rather than just shrivel up and complain about “kids these days” (which is basically what people sound like when they talk crap about TikTok while not having any real idea what it is).

Anonymous wrote:The experience on Instagram is no where near as nice as TikTok — insta has no pausing, no speeding up…. And the algorithm is not nearly as good. Plus, Zuckerberg made this happen. Don’t reward him.

I feel bad for a lot of the creators I followed. And I feel bad that now it will be even harder to understand the trends of the younger people.

I also know when it goes back up next week it’s going to be a mouth piece for the new admin and that scares the ish out of me.

+1 to all of this. People saying “just use Ig” is like telling someone to just go to Walmart when Target shuts down. Yeah you can get some of the same stuff, but the experience is much less pleasant.

And I have the same concern that when it comes back it won’t be the same app. I don’t trust anything Trump touches.

Well most of the content on reels and shorts started on TikTok. Very little was:is made just for those sites. They are not monetized nearly as well. No money, no content.

Plus the platforms and algorithms are just not as nice.

Plus, I think Zuckerberg was counting on this to increase his traffic. I’m not doing that
