Which is not Jesus or thinking it is cool to crawl around in the mud with a rifle . Those faux macho R’s missed the point of “A Few Good Men.”
Proof positive: one of the R senators just asked how many push ups he can do.
That is such pathetic, Trumpian, strongman thinking. This job requires a brain, judgement, morals and integrity.
But if they got that, they would not support Trump in the first place.
+100. And folks should grill him or morals, integrity, critical thinking, judgement, and budget using the R’s stated goal of efficiency and less dollars.
What ideas does he have around readiness, recruitment and supporting military person and families given budget realities?
What are his views on conduct unbecoming of an officer or enlisted personnel?
Given that he’s made negative comments around women in the military as recent as November what does this suggest about his ability to read the room? Or his ability to work diplomatically?
If he’s a change agent, what large scale change has he implemented or overseen?
Republican questioners intimated that the key to recruitment is to eliminate DEI initiatives.
Like that will make the military more appealing to ethnic minority group members, women and LGBTQ individuals.
At this point, I hope all the young men who voted for the felon enlist. Let them get killed because of their gross incompetence and greed to take over other nations by force.

Russia, North Korea and Iran also approve.

Anyone? Is this a done deal?

Many probably don’t but they aren’t allowed to cross Trump.

Honestly, his lack of experience and vocal protests about women in the military make him unfit. The fact he cheated on his wife or has a drinking problem aren’t relevant. I think Patel and Gabbard are bigger threats to America than Hegseth.

WTF.
Biden really needs to exercise his authority and declassify the FBI's report. Insane not to provide it to Senators.
Anonymous wrote:We need a "Gang of Four" Republican senators who will stand up to Trump and say "NO!" to these unqualified, goofball Trump cabinet nominees.
Collins (ME) and Murkowski (AK) are two obvious candidates. Who could join them? Cassidy (LA)? Young (IN)? Anyone else? Maybe Ernst (IA)?

This sums it up. He is not qualified to run the Pentagon, but blocking Gabbard and Patel are more important.
With all of their macho posturing, you would think the Republicans could grow some balls and turn down all unqualified nominees.
Who said they are limited to turning down two? Their role as laid out in the Constitution is to serve as a check on the executive. Not to lick his boots.

Didn’t the average Cabinet member last about a year under 45? #ETTD
