Meh, she chose poorly. She literally married a brutal dictator who had people tortured. She knew all about it. Her morals are awful. Now she’ll live under house arrest in Moscow unless Putin decides to give them up for something in return. She now literally a pawn, to be trader or sacrificed as Putin sees fit.
I bet it feels awful to feel so powerless.
At least they’re alive, which is more than can be said of their countless victims.

He’s not inherently a bad guy either really, he didn’t want any part of this. His brother was next in line and a horrible guy like his dad, but he was assassinated. He had hoped to be a doctor.

That’s pretty odd that the US is assisting a guy that they have a $10M bounty on. It wasn’t that long ago that Al-qaeda and ISIS were the boogeymen, now they’re allies. albeit in different form. What an effed up world. I can’t help but think this is part of a decades long effort to redraw the ME, starting with 9/11. Or maybe earlier.
