I. Love. IKEA.

I am legit fascinated by the PP who’s eating freaking rainbow trout in a furniture store. But not in a judgey way. It makes me want to try it.

PP. IKEA's hot salmon is good. Their vegetable medallions are good. Also their Swedish Meatballs and Chicken Tenders.

When I lived in DMV, we used to go to the one on I-95 in Virginia and I would get open-faced shrimp & hardboiled egg sandwiches on rye. They were really great. That dish is discontinued.

We stop at the one in Pittsburgh to eat while on the road to travel to family. You can buy hostess gifts there if you need some.

I've had blue crab dishes at the Baltimore IKEA (a long time ago).

Cracker Barrel sells rockers but it's mostly a restaurant with a big gift shop. I got used to eating rainbow trout while touring Germany (where it seemed to be an ordinary fish). And I never make it at home. So it's a fun option on a road trip. If you have time for a waiter service meal.

That’s what I get for skimming. Somehow I conflated the two and thought the rainbow trout was in the IKEA snack bar. Alas.

I love Outback Steakhouse, their loaded fries and salad are an absolute favorite.

Get the trots, but a Taco Bell Double Decker is my jam.
As is Chilis skillet queso, Red Lobster cheddar biscuits (had my graduation dinner there in my small southern town), and I, too, can crush an Arbys Beef and Cheddar with some mozz sticks.
I keep immodium in the glovebox

One of the best family vacations we ever took was to Orlando, even though we didn’t set foot on Disney property (couldn’t afford it). Played outrageously decorated mini golf, fed some gators, spent every afternoon in the timeshare’s lazy river.

We ate at a Cracker Barrel on a similar drive and you know what? It was delicious, the bathrooms were clean, and the server was very pleasant. They even have fruit as a side now and some healthier options.

I got a Jersey Mike's sub on the way too and they made it exactly like I asked and charged me for a kid's sub since I asked for less meat.

I much prefer shopping at Giant to Whole Foods. I don't need my cereal aisle to smell like lavender oil, and contrary to DCUM popular belief, it is possible to avoid lots of sugar and additives and trans fats and seed oils and still shop for produce, dairy, meat, and other things at Giant.

Arby’s is my jam. Curly fries dipped in Arby Sauce? Yum!

Also, I had Golden Corral once when I was with my husband and young kids in an area with not a lot of other choices and it was perfect… I still think about that meal 15 years later!

Another low brow things I prefer: drugstore makeup for most things is sufficient.

Yeah, was out in Utah this year for a trip and tried it for the first time. Very good.

I also love chikfil-a and chipotle. I love amusement parks; we have season tickets to six flags in Largo.

Huge fan of great wolf lodge, and any hotel that allows me to make my own waffles.

Buffets in general are my “lowbrow” fave. Remember Sizzler? Being able to pile everything you want on your plate, getting ten entrees, second helpings! Anybody who doesn’t love that is living a sad life, imho.

I love the Pennsylvania chain Hoss's. Including the dessert bar.

We celebrated special occasions at Hoss’s.

I second the egg McMuffin!
Also, any day I get the treat of having Taco Bell, Dairy Queen, or Outback Steakhouse is a good one!

Whenever I have a migraine, DH gets me the Taco Bell chili cheese burrito. It is the only thing that always works when I feel so bad. Always perfect.
