It sounds like if any kids stayed for the new hybrid team, they are probably telling you that they left their old team for this one but they were cut.

If you define “cut” as being kicked out of the organization completely then, sure, he wasn’t “cut”. But for a very talented 9 year old to be kicked off his current team, a team that is very cult-like and often refer to teammates as “family”, where all the kids are invited to each others birthday parties, where they travel together often… that is just cruel. If he wasn’t good, if the coach had indicated in any way that he couldn’t keep up with the team, if the owners had approached us and sold us the idea of shifting to a new team as an opportunity for him that would be different. But he was given the game ball and cut from his team in the middle of the year with zero warning and he found out at a birthday party, where the coach and all the families were present. It was cruel. Then we declined the offer and were dressed down by the owner and told that he “holds a grudge”. The most unprofessional, weak, clown behavior.

No. I have a previous comment in this forum about the owner of Primetime telling me to be careful because he “holds a grudge”. My child won the game ball for an incredible pitching performance then was CUT from his team three days later. He was put on this weird hybrid team and that is why we left! They were retaliating for us declining an offer for our older son and/ or trying to make sure they had a good pitcher to sell this hybrid team. The owner made all of that very clear to us in a very aggressive and threatening phone call after we declined the hybrid offer. My son is 9.

What age group is this? I’m sorry to tell you, but if you don’t pay for private lessons, he’s not going to get much playing time.

They have done that for years. My son was on the B team and decided he didn't want to come back the next season. The coach actually wrote us a note blaming us for 'breaking up the team'.

My kid was 12. It was insane.

AB is the real deal, very different than the others mentioned here. Very small, individualized training based in academic research. Look up OnBaseU, that’s them--Steve Johnson is one of the founders of OnBase, was Tom House’s partner for decades, and was the founder of AB. They literally teach others how to train athletes.

You won’t find better pitching training in the mid-Atlantic, if not anyplace outside of San Diego.

It’s a hidden gem, tucked in a nondescript building along with building trades and mini-storage.

Isn’t one of the owners of primetime connected to Liberty university? I just assumed they were Trump jerks. The place smells terrible. It’s literally located next to the Alexandria trash incinerator. No thank you.
