Democrats aren’t throwing tantrums. Trump is embarrassing himself, though. This is a historically bad Cabinet, and their failures are going to directly reflect on him. If this is the way he wants to go out; so be it.

They are in a pickle. On the one hand, many of them will be up for election in two years and whatever idiotic things these people do will be laid at their feet if they vote for them. On the other hand, if they kill the nominations, Trump will find a primary challenger and call out his crazies.
There is no reason for them to be in the Senate except to advise and consent and to block these kind of destructive, dangerous nominees who are both risks to our nation and also unqualified. Otherwise, why are they doing their job? If they are patriots, protecting our country should be their first responsibility not their campaign. And they may get more votes if people know they were brave and stood up for us.
