Nobody deserves to die from playing stupid games though. And certainly a little boy doesn't deserve to be deprived of his father.

That’s not what was being said – I’m a different poster by the way. He was abusive toward his ex and forced her into an abortion. He and his friends harassed her to keep quiet when he was the abuser. He played those games. She put it out in the open as she should have. She is not to blame here.

I saw a photo of him about 6 months ago, in a pale suit looking kinda green faced, with this blond, plastic girlfriend. And I thought "oh, the drugs got him, he won't last"

and I was right.

+1. You don’t realize what you’ve done until years later. The ex gf putting the abortion back in the news cycle this week was probably deeply painful to revisit.

No, it was terrible PR for him. Made him look like a heartless cont.

She also publicized him as an abuser at the same time his label and PR dropped him.

Everyone thought he was crazy to quit 1D when he walked away during their heyday but he may have saved his own life.

I will be surprised if he ever goes on tour. He was anorexic and clearly struggling toward the end of his time in the band.

That was a long time ago. He's grown a lot and gotten in control of himself.

All these discussions remind me of the anxiety and stress faced by many young Olympians.

This is yet another example of how a young person is not able to handle the instant celebrity and bad influences exposed to in the industry. His relationship with the xfactor judge is troubling as well.

What an odd perspective. You know nothing about this guy except for what you’ve seen in the media and heard on the radio yet you make an assertion like that. It could’ve actually inspired him.

No, it was just my opinion not from anything I heard or read. It just seems like more heartache and victims in light of combs and the industry.

That’s sad to hear. He joined when he was a teen and then it was over while he was in this 20s, right? That must have been difficult, especially when Harry did well.

When you have a child, it's not just about you anymore. He should have stayed off drugs/alcohol for his son even if not for himself. That's what caused his death. I would be angry at him not sad - his poor son has to live without his dad.

Are you unfamiliar with how addiction rewires the brain and affects the body?

Does it matter? He had the means to recover. He just chose not to.

Well yes, it totally matters. Due to the rewiring of the brain he was not able to choose to recover. Addiction makes people unable to think clearly.
