PG County schools, crime, and politicians all have bad reputations but I'm still not voting for Hogan.
So you are voting for the Democrat tax cheater?
I suppose if a democrat cheats or breaks the law, that’s perfectly fine.
A bit over-dramatic.
Her grandparents moved out of the house into assisted living and she took over the mortgage without checking and realizing that they had a senior exemption that she did not correct. She is working with DC to correct the paperwork and pay back the difference.
The second issue is that she moved to a bigger, more expensive house and did not transfer the homestead exemption from the lower-valued house to the higher-valued house. So, she overpaid taxes in MD.
Neither of these is that unusual of an oversight. And neither one looks deliberate. Both look like honest mistakes that need to be corrected.
What was the increase in county-appraised value for each of these properties over the years that she owed them? Don't make me go through SDAT.

Jfc, you do the work. You could be the one to blow this case wide open.
Oh stop. People are parroting "she overpaid" without any idea if she did. It's just as annoying as your dismissive comment. Let the people making the assertions do the work.

Funny, she is in charge of PG county tax collection. how does she not know the law? does she not do her job or is she hiding something (or both??!)
Its something when the average poster on here is both more diligent and competent than a possible Senator.

Alsobrooks illegally took advantage of, among other things, tax breaks for "lower income residents and senior citizens".
Really?
No. NOT voting for Hogan.
Alsobrooks for Maryland Senate!
I was thinking about voting for Alsobrooks or Hogan but I've about had it with their pea-brained "canvassers" ringing my doorbell and leaving their propaganda garbage on my doorstep. I could do without the junk mail as well. We don't need your campaigns wasting time and money sending idiots around door to door trying to convince people of how to think or vote!!! Ick, gross.
So, you're not voting because the candidates are campaigning?
No, because they are sending pea-brained idiots around leaving junk paper everywhere as if those idiots are going to convince anyone to come out and vote for their candidate. It's sickening. Oh, thanks Hogan. I really needed goober and gobber at my front door to let me know that you want my vote! C'mon, man!

She OVERPAID her Maryland taxes.
How? I need to see the numbers. Show me the numbers.
I actually don't care; it was an oversight. But I keep reading that she overpaid and the rationale is her second property is more expensive than the first, from which she received the credit. But straight property value is not how the credit works. So, either provide the actual numbers or shut up.

This may be true, but she owes a LOT more in DC taxes than any money she saved.
She OVERPAID her Maryland taxes.
