And to reassure their child that that’s very rare and the child would be believed and taken care of. Talk to your kids about this stuff in an age appropriate way, though OP struggles obviously with “age appropriate.”

+1 I maybe might have sympathy for the OP if the rape victim ad came on during Bluey or Dora the Explorer. But I don't even let my tween watch Survivor.

No one is going to know or care about the lifelong health effects the survivors are going to experience. People like OP can just float blithely along, voting GOP and getting angry that her daughter may or may not have been made aware - in a totally respectful and not remotely graphic commercial - of the experiences of other children.
