There was this teacher bragging about a quarter of her class is trans, I think it was elementary school. Odds are that was from this teacher pushing this on students.

You’re describing 2022. I haven’t seen anywhere near as much of the book banning since then. Family finances are the number one issue in this election and culture wars in schools are very far down the list. DeSantis’s slate of Moms for Liberty candidates just lost.

Libraries are being attacked in 2024. It has not gone away.

I’m just saying that the mom and dad for for school-age children mom and dad vote is a constituency. It’s real. I think they feel these issues strongly. Schools are overcrowded.

On a separate note, think a tougher drug policy would appease this parent group. Personal anecdotes: I went to coffee with a group. Actually, a “tony” group of people. Everyone knew someone who overdosed and either died or nearly died. I was so surprised bc we went around the table. Synthetic drugs are also a threat. Parents care about this. I’d like to see that discussed. That would help Dems

I know many teachers who have children, but they are typically the second income in the household, not the primary. True, I know several with partners who are the primary breadwinners.

I actually prefer my elementary children. Don't have teachers who have kids because in my experience some of them are burned out, being moms and then being with kids all day.... It's a hard ass job and I respect the hell out of it.... Some of the best ones were older teachers whose children were no longer living at home or young teachers who were not married or have kids yet.
