Walz was a genius for coming up with this language. It’s clear and resonates widely. As has been pointed out, the “threat to democracy” and “soul of the nation” language was too abstract for many Americans. But it’s indisputable that these two guys are weird and have lots of weird ideas. And who wants to vote for weirdos?

Early today he noted you never see DT laugh. Only at people, not with people. That’s very weird behavior, he remarked. Keep it going, man. It’s working. Mainly because it’s true.
I can’t even think of a single time I have heard Donald Trump laugh.
We love Walz in Minnesota. So fun to see the “Minnesota Grown” insignia (it’s an ag thing encouraging people to eat local) on his shirt.
That is definitely on the list of really weird things about him.
I mean the never laughing weird quality of trump. Walz seems to have a relatable, healthy sense of humor.

14:46 again. I should point out that most of us love Walz, but the Republicans who hate him like really, really HATE him. They aren’t common, but you’ll still see “recall Walz” and signs like that. He really stresses out some Republicans.

Wow. I’ve never heard Governor Walz speak before. In this video at least, he looks and sounds and dresses like the type of voter that the GOP is courting—a working or middle class regular white guy. I say this without knowing anything about his background, but I intend to read up on him since I read somewhere that he is on Harris’s shortlist.

"Dangerous" would just feed the MAGA power fantasies. "Unlawful" and "unconstitutional" are too complicated for some folks, and words like "racist" and "homophobic" definitely have their place but don't really affect people who are racist and homophobic. "Bootlicker" is too crude.
"Creepy" might work, especially with all of the time they spend thinking about others' genitals, but "weird" is good.
exactly.. I was just saying to DH that labeling them "weird" would resonate more with people who don't follow politics than saying that they are a "threat to our democracy".
