Hideous, but just what I'd expect from a Republican dress company. Good background to know this is a conservative company that dresses conservative DC women. Makes so much sense now.

Ok, well it looks nice in this picture because the model is thin and leggy. It is not a flattering dress on most women.
I'm tall and leggy and I don't think I could pull this dress off (especially not for work). First it looks like it would be too short. I also try to avoid dresses that have a wider shape because when you're thin it just looks like the fit is off. I'm not sure how to explain it, but it feels like a toddler dress? I don't think my clothes need to be tight, but something like this would make me look like a block with skinny arms and legs. I need a defined waist.
Anyway, it doesn't seem to flatter most women. The reviews show it in "real life" and I don't think anyone looks horrible but it's just not the most flattering: https://tnuck.com/products/coastal-blue-striped-jackie-dress
I agree. Though this woman actually looks really cute in it and I love the pale blue paired with red shoes:

This is incredibly unflattering. I don't understand the point of this outfit, it's so infantile. Angela Ahrendts is a great dresser, I'd use her for inspiration.

The resume dress? Jcrew still sells it.

Anonymous wrote:My friend worked for a jewelry shop (think Lou Lou). The owners would take sketches / photos (one case they took an entire J Crew catalogue) to China and had their factory make similar pieces. They were paying $1 -$2 for a costume jewelry piece that they sold for $50. It was insane to hear about these trips and why I try to avoid buying things like Tuckernuck’s in house brand.

It seriously looks like they found the supplier for Tuckernuck.

It's hysterical that they call it "bodycon". Maybe if you're ashamed of your body and are trying to hide it?
Anonymous wrote:Wow. This is the sort of thing I'd maybe dress my 6 year old in.

I wonder why tuckernuck doesn’t go after them? Could it be that tuckernuck also rips people off and that would likely come to light (more than it already is) if they sued?
Tuckernuck is most likely ordering from the same factory in China that the Amazon sellers are.
Tuckernuck isn’t a designer.
