Yes, we lived here for years without a car. Traffic is pretty crazy north of the neighborhood, but we don't drive that way very often. It's pretty crazy south toward DC, too. Traffic is just generally a bear around here. We walk and take metro whenever possible, and that includes our commutes. I would never drive into DC willingly during rush hour.
