True story. There was so much competition for the end of year elementary awards that the principal moved from being an event for the whole school to sit through. Only the kids getting the awards and their parents were invited. One of the psycho moms from my neighborhood who was obsessed with my kids parked her car on my street and followed me to the school to see if my kid was getting an award. I am not making this up. She told other people she did this.

The dads at my neighborhood bus stop in Ashburn were just as bad. You be shocked if I told you how they treated my kids. One has learning disabilities and they were so ignorant they thought he'd be robbing them at gunpoint at 6 years. They were some of the most disgusting pigs I've ever met. I think it’s mostly SAHMs. They don’t engage their brains all day with more important things, and instead focus on the petty and superficial.


In my neighborhood, the catty gossiping people - which includes moms and dads - is a mix of SAHM and working moms. The common denominator seems to be desperation to fit in with the clique.
