The dual enrollment program at GW is only open to a small number of selected rising seniors (and they can be from any DCPS school and, I assume, charters as well if they go through DCPS--not just Walls). They take 1 course in the fall semester and, if they do well, they can take up to 2 courses during the spring semester. GW only allows students to enroll in certain lower-level courses (1000 and 2000 level), and those are only available if there is space after GW students have signed up. So, yes, you could easily end up taking Islamic history up to the year 1500 or some other less popular course.

Better option would have been to remove the 15 kids per year in GW program from global high school class ranking …..
What are the GW kids? Can’t all Walls kids take GW classes?

Is this at Jackson Reed? I’m not sure I believe it. Their AP Physics teacher is a rockstar or so I was told
The teacher that teaches AP Physics C is a rock star. He also taught one section of AP Physics 1. A new teacher- a biology teacher who had never taught physics before- taught the rest of the AP Physics sections.
Oh boy. My kid is signed up to take AP Physics 1 at JR this fall. It doesn’t sound fair to make a Bio teacher teach AP Physics. Not fair to the teacher or students
Not clear if this teacher will teach it again.
