Let's compare notes after the 6/27 debate, assuming Trump actually shows up for it.
I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't show up. But in the meanwhile, he's laying the groundwork for justifying what he knows will be a poor performance.
He has already cast doubt on whether CNN and its moderators will be "fair," and his minions are out there suggesting that if Biden does well, it's because he's on drugs.
What do you think are the odds he doesn't show? Would you put it at 50/50 at this point?

I am not sure why anyone thinks he would have a disasterous performance. He is old, but not senile nor demented.
Everyone keeps lowering the bar and then Biden exceeds expectations. For me, I would rather be where the Dems are than the GOP.
Trump is a loose cannon.
Fewer people are taking this statement seriously. There is something not entirely right with Biden. You cannot spin your way out of it without seeming like a Soviet style party mouthpiece. It doesn't mean Biden is heading for the dementia wing tomorrow, but everything about him, his movements, his slurry speaking at times, his jarring behavior contrasting with other world leaders at these get togethers, the rather childish guiding of him in and out of events, points to some type of *something* going on. Nonetheless, there's enough we've seen and heard, over and over again, across the last six months to have a genuinely frank discussion about his physical and mental capabilities to stand for president for the next four years. Regardless of your opinions, it remains that Biden has done *nothing* to counter and dispel these growing perceptions of him because he still refuses to freely engage with the public outside of extremely heavily scripted and regulated events.
The more honest partisans I've seen on this forum frankly acknowledge it but also say it doesn't matter as long as he's just a figurehead while trustworthy aides and perhaps even Obama are really running the show behind the scenes. That is a form of honesty.

That's his appeal!
Trump is mercurial. That means other countries do not screw with him.
Unlike Joe, a known quantity who will sell out the USA every chance he gets.
Saudi Arabia is only the first to jettison the petrodollar.
No one respects us. Hell, the BRICS are going out of their way to tell us to shove off. Jesus, you'd hsve to be blind not to see it.

So all the media outlets talking about Biden being replaced are just making up rumors?
