He and Dani Olmo just showed what happens when you're developed in environments allowing creativity

This is pretty silly given that French players also develop in the same environment. They had a ton of creativity but not a lot of synchronicity. So in their last two matches, you had Dembele making run after run against the defense but nobody to grab passes in the middle.

You don't need to cite Lamal and Olmo goals for the creativity point. The best evidence on that team is Nico Williams throughout the tournament.

DP. No the French players do not come from the Spain tradition. France played direct relying on athleticism and beating players 1v1. The French are not creative. They have had major problems breaking down strong defenses or defenses that pack the box. When they can’t run at you they are lost. Creativity is not 1v1 play. 1v1 is about athleticism.

I agree with the differences between Spanish and French traditions, but I think you are defining creativity too narrowly, and you are also missing the point that the Spanish goals were essentially the result of 1 v. 1 moves to get space for shots. Perhaps you would not call those creative? This Spanish team is capable of both 1 v 1 and combo play creativity.

Pretty much everyone has been talked about how Spain have gone away from their tradition this tournament and played more vertically. What was Spain's issue if not breaking down low blocks since 2012? Boiling down Spain success to "tradition" is silly. 2 teams went out there and had a game plan. France's gameplan has been rooted in counter under Deschamps and I would argue that their greatest failure here was inability/inefficiency in that sector that did them in this tournament. Pogba had the ability to find the early ball in behind, Griezmann used to be able to link play quicker, and Giroud gave them someone to work off of. Thuram and Kolo Muany weren't able to make an impact, Dembele couldn't finish or find a teammate in the box, and Mbappe wasn't up to the standard he had set in the past.

Much love to the Spanish Federation and what they do in terms of player development, but claiming supremacy in the department over a game decided by one goal is hyperbolic. Both federations have given us great players, creative and otherwise.

Le most arrogant football-playing nation.

French media and fans have been pretty down on the team since the start of the tournament, even going back to the March friendlies. I haven't talked to one single fellow fan who had anything good to say except for the fact they got through. Doesn't exactly reek of arrogance.

Also, most arrogant footballing nation probably goes to the one claiming it's coming home every tournament.

I'm quite sure the PP was being very specific about the decisions they made and moves they executed to score yesterday's goals

You went way off kilter
