Anonymous wrote:OP - I get where you are coming from but I think it’s super important to understand why 50% of the country supports Trump. “Normal” for you (and me) is not being understood the same way by these people. It’s easy to dismiss this 50% as stupid but that’s a misstake IMO. I think the Democrats need to offer candidates who don’t talk down to people, don’t frame their opinions as dumb, try to address their issues, and be confident in reasssing policies that are not working.

This is OP - and jesus, no, I do not want a Trump. I want anything but a Trump. It's the enormity of the horror ahead of us, and every day leading up to it, that is making me numb - not my secret desire for the transgressive disgusting thing. I want things to be normal. I just want things to be normal.

I started thinking about this yesterday, when I realized there had barely been any reaction to Florida's six week abortion ban going into effect - and I live in Florida. The stupid gd Alito flag thing. The polls showing this race so dismally close that I can't even believe it - while young leftists are trying to make sure Trump wins. THAT GUY.
I feel like the thing that people have been warning about is finally happening to me - I'm starting to tune out. I'm just so numb now.
Are you feeling that way? How are you overcoming it? I feel like now is the time we need to be most fired up - and I am just so tired. It's been 10 years of this now.

Progressives hate women now, so this won’t work for me.
They “hate women” less than the Rs.
I don’t think I believe that any more. I think both major political parties have embraced hating women.
