My colicky nephew could only stomach nutramagin (probably spelled wrong)ready to feed. My sister had a rx from the Dr so insurance covered at least some of it.
I was nursing and had to cut all dairy and soy out and my kid couldn’t eat either-even trace amounts-until after two.
In the end, most of my nieces and nephews as well as my own kids had issues digesting dairy and or soy that made them very cranky babies until it was figured out.

My son was very colicky. Changing formulas didn’t seem to help. He would only quiet down when I played the song Bolero. Not sure what it was about that song (or how I ever figured that out!!??!!) but it never failed to calm and quiet him.

The blood will take a while to clear - maybe weeks after you’re on the right formula. But colic can improve in a matter of days.

I’m sorry! I remember those days! I’m usually very skeptical about medicine, but my son was really struggling and cried a lot his first few months. I tried many things- but what seemed consistent was gripe water and Gerber soothe drops.

To the OP, you have a great sense of humor, and we see you and feel you. Way to reach out for support while you parent your way through this.

You said out of the box, and this is like 99.999999% unlikely to work as blood in stool would indicate, but try swiping your thumb down your screaming child’s forehead. Think soothing pressure (gentle and confident but not hard). My DH had a buddy who did this with a colicky baby, and it worked nearly every time like magic.

Baby wearing. I wore my colicky baby all the time. She seemed to like the swaddle feeling and the motion.

Also try baby yoga. We had a book and one pose called the “dolphin” was really soothing for her.

Has this been posted already? Baby on top of the dryer while it’s running.

So sorry, OP, I promise it will get better! Keeping them upright as much as possible was always our main goal.

Please don’t dismiss this immediately (and I truly believe that chiropracty in general is complete quackery), but a very light chiropractic “adjustment” that was more of a light massage for our five-month old worked absolute wonders. He just seemed so stiff, agitated, and uncomfortable constantly, but after a single specialized chiro visit for infants he was able to finally just relax his body for the first time in his life.
