Are there any generalizations you can make about the girls who joined the team after the U9 season? Were there mostly gradual additions each new season or clusters of additions at U11 and U13 when moving to larger sides? What kinds of players did the club look for when it brought new players into the squad? As an original parent, how do you think the players, coaches, and parents treated the newbies?
One of my daughter's friends joined another squad that had been together since they were U9, and the parents were bordering on hostile and definitely unfriendly

Yes, we are proud / supportive of our kids - not living through them as you suggest. It just so happens my kid is also a pretty good player on a great team.

SuperCopa - team had 6 Arl players and 6 from VA including a player 1 and 2 years younger. Beat teams ranked in top 50 for 2011s. You can hate. Girls are a special group that play for each other.

As for 2011g, we saw the Jeff Cup final when they dismanteled the no 3 ECNL team 4-0. Arl passed in circles around the IL team. It was not just about the CB and one attacker. They have 8-9 elite players controlling the game. They have a very fast/technical winger and two gritty strikers but the whole back line is excellent. Four goals from four different players. Arl may have been lucky with the talent in NoVa but CP and the club must have done something right. Its very impressive soccer.
I must say the 2011g Arlington parents that come on here to brag do trigger my gag reflex, but my soccer app does have them No. 1 in the country, so at least they have something to brag about.
It and FCV’s U19 team are the DMV’s only girls teams ranked top 10 nationally. Let them brag.
Ha! Also won a NFL national flag championship, 2nd at futsal nationals, second a SuperCopa, etc. Talented group in many sports.
