I agree with you, but I do think it’s a good call out that she’s not properly disclosing advertising/paid placement. There’s a reason that regulations exist for this sort of thing. But she is able to escape accountability, and I think it’s worth noting. Now, would I waste a ton of time and energy on this topic? No, but am glad to see an objectionable behavior called out.

What's odd to me is she will not let PTA's advertise things like fundraisers and she specifically told me I wasn't working for free so why should she. I was working for free, many hours work. And, she advertises often for free in other groups.

I think the hate comes in when you realize it's 100% disingenuous and contrived. Especially when recommending services solely for the payout with a complete disregard to the quality of this services.

As for the $100 event and people commenting the would "never spend that on an event". That's great. I get it. In my case, I had post partum depression, didn't know anyone, and didn't have any family. It was an expense for me but I looked into it, saw sushi was provided (a relatively expensive refreshment) and decided since I never go out, and it was a rare opportunity to make friends it was worth it. I was wrong and it was a rip off.

You live and learn. But again, that's where the hate comes in. I posted because I think about new or lonely mothers getting bad services, bad recommendations, bad products and bad experiences all because this woman wants to make money under guise of community.

From a business perspective, I think one challenge is that she is trying to make money from events that most ppl in her audience cannot afford.

I already left the group but man-there also seemed to be some drama with the owner of the group and others. She seems really volatile when she is confronted about something? Her reactions just seem over the top.

Anyway I do think she started with good intentions but the group just seems all about money at this point.

I left the group a while ago because she clearly uses people for financial gain. But I used to get a lot of second hand embarrassment from some of the stuff she posted about her personal life.
