We allow rampant lobbying, literally hundreds of millions spent to goose these weirdoes on Capitol Hill, so they can send billions that we don't have to a foreign country. How is that not taking taxpayer funding and redirecting it to the interests of the groups that lobbied for it? The ROI for the lobbyists is astronomical!

We get relative global peace so people can travel the world and experience different cultures, we get stability that creates a leisure class to probe the arts and sciences and we get global markets that benefit US companies and workers.
