She’s in a tough spot. Most of the Latino community is in favor of SROs. Of course, TT and CDT sing a different tune but they are generally disliked.

Not an insider. Paying attention. She had no prior connection to APS, joined a committee this year, but had big names like Lopez and Tejada line up from get go. She’s the next CDT who was the next TT.


This. She’s slick and a lobbyist. Doing the campaigning and learning better than Chen but she’s the chosen Latinx candidate and will get the second spot with Kathleen.


This. She says nothing but with a lot of charm. No grudge against her but don’t see a lot of substance.

I agree too that showing humility now after coming in like a wrecking ball in AEM just makes me lose trust in him too. I don't know which side to trust.

Chen can't be social media's SB candidate. Lol. I guarantee you both Kathleen and Zuraya are hustling getting to know constituents as well as smoozing with the elite for those last endorsements.

Go knock on some doors instead of hanging on in anonymous forums Chen.



What did Chen say/do on AEM that was a turnoff?


He was the expert in everything just a week ago on AEM. And people (and teachers) had to correct him constantly. Even urging us to speak and School and County Board meetings that he was curiously absent for.

But I really do want to know too what he talked to APE about. The fact that he met with them at all tells me all I need to know about him.

I'm not voting for Chen. First he was talking over people who have been advocating for APS for years in AEM. Now he's pleading naivety and "I will learn"?

I think he's saying what he thinks we want to hear. I just don't trust him.

Zuraya isn't qualified either, but at least she knows more people than him and is talking to them and the community.

I already know I'm not ranking Larry.
