I guess so. I think it is the classic DCUM self-importance. For the majority demographic on here, no one will expend any real effort to see a spicy photo of them.

And, many of the men on here have professional licenses (to practice law, medicine, etc.) that they could lose because of a revenge porn charge.

Revenge porn is a crime. If you are sending photos to someone who would break the law to harm you, you have bigger problems than a concern about what "might get out."

My reasoning is stronger than yours. But that is a very low threshold to exceed if you date people who would illegally weaponize information you gave them. And if being the subject of revenge porn is a concern of yours, you told us all we need to know about the kind of men you date.

I don't. Not because I think I'm important or even think there's risk involved but because it makes me uncomfortable. Maybe it's generational?

Got ghosted on OLD a few times because I wouldn't sext/send pics and that's fine. It's ok to set boundaries and ok if those boundaries don't work for the other person.

Few people are worth the effort to hack private photos or text conversations. They are also uninterested if they receive a photo by mistake. If the photo belongs to Jennifer Lawrence or Kate Upton, it is a different story.

However, if you are a suburban DCUM mom who sent her husband a racy pic, no one cares. If you are a divorced DCUM mom who sent her BF a racy pic, no one cares. All the posters in this thread who have been posting "I would never send ____ because they might get out", you do not need to worry. The only person interested is the person you sent them to.

How often have you heard of someone in your neighborhood having photos/text spread around? I have never seen it happen.

It is human nature to believe that the world is interested in a spicy pic of you when, in fact, it is not. Sadly, it is second nature on this board to believe you are way more important than you are.
