Years ago we went to a Club Med which had both a topless and a nude beach. I was fine going topless. What was crazy was that by the pool they organized a wet tee shirt contest! It was pretty hilarious given the beaches.

Can you seriously tell me why going topless is some magical experience? I mean, just a tube top style bikini is really repressing you?

I’m European and grew up with women going topless but it was maybe 10% of women only on specific beaches. Sure, it’s about sexual freedom but let’s not pretend it’s not about sex.

I will say I don’t understand covering up aggressively in gym locker rooms where you’re just going to and from the shower ; that happens in N America and seems silly to me, but that’s a women’s only space and everyone is busy getting to the next thing, no one is lying there for hours reading a magazine.

You might change your mind when you get there. This happened to me a few years ago and once we got to the beach and my GFs took off their tops I went with the flow. It was really nice not having tan lines with a strapless sun dress. If the guys in our group were ogling it wasn't at us. After a couple of days i didn't even think about it.

I wouldn’t because my naked body isn’t for the world consume. Just for a select few who I choose.

And men can often be pervs. If the audience were all women (including lesbians) I just wouldn’t care and would bare it all.

I think this is just a topic people shouldn’t judge one another on, some are cool with this some arent; some find it a little tittlilating, some view it as utterly natural; i think there is general consensus that even on a topless or nude beach, nobody cares if you wear a swimsuit. Not sure what the real argument, strikes me as a de gustibus sort of thing.
