No, my brain doesn’t work that way. Even if you ended up hating the person you can’t forget them even if you wanted to. Even if it’s only once in ten years something can trigger a memory but over time it’s just a blip on your radar screen.

I don't forget anything, and I can stop loving people. Especially if I remember that they pulled sh*t and caused trouble.

I haven’t forgotten but there is one person that makes me roll my eyes and wonder what the heck was going through my mind. I don’t have any feelings of love or nostalgia, but I admit that I’ve have looked him up to see what became of him.

Zero feelings left other than the aforementioned confusion as to why I was with him at all.

Yes, I have one ex I was with for four years that I never think about. He was controlling, abusive and narcissistic. I think fondly about the time right after my escape but not about him.

It really depends. I still think about someone I dated for a month or so when I was 20. I think I was too young to appreciate what a great person he was back then. We're still casually in touch and he's still the same great person.

There are other exes I occasionally wonder about and one or two I still see from time to time but while I am very fond of them, there are good reasons things didn't work out.

However, I never think about my ex-H, with whom I have two kids and was with for 11 years. Our kids are adults/older teens now and I forget he exists for weeks at a time. There's no bitterness toward him, just... nothing.

You don’t forget them, but you can definitely get over them.

You can realize it was not right for you or that the person could never have made you happy.

I will always love the people in which I shared a connection. Even my really good friend who passed me on. I miss him.
