Me too. My teen was on it but has left.
Same. I’ve even stopped posting on FB and Instagram (although DCUM is still a bit of an addiction but I’m working on that). Mid-20s DS says he recently closed his TicToc account after he realized how much they track everything you do.
I love how when you read the above threads, all (literally) of the DCUM kids aren't interested at all in TikTok. (Apparently on their own even.)
Is this impressive parenting? Or delusional?
PP here. DS was on TicTok for several years until he grew up and realized the security risks. Also, he’s in the comp sci field. You should grow up too.
One more!

I feel like most people have transitioned away from Facebook.
A lot of moms are still on Facebook. I thankfully never got into it.
I have FB and like the private boards as an information sharing tool. We have a couple neighborhood FB pages that are very helpful. I also have joined recently parent pages of the schools my teen has been accepted to.
Facebook is useful for groups, but I just don't want to use it.
TikTok is the future. It just is. Sorry peeps are so scared of it.
Nah. My college aged kid is more negative about Tik Tok than I am, and I hate it.
Yeah but y'all are the exceptions..

Anyone actually join after holding out and have thoughts and feedback about your experience? I wonder if it is inevitable that we will all be on TikTok at some point anyway.
