DD tried out for 3 clubs. Heard back from one (made their B team). She's accepted the spot but is holding for some other clubs who have later tryouts. Is this terrible form? My DH said it happens all the time.

You're probably fine for a few days, maybe a week? And as long as you haven't paid yet...

No issue even if you have paid.

We just saw that as well, looks like he's the Freshman head coach.

Sounds like it could be a daddy ball scenario to me? I am surprised that he would get a gig with Nova Cavs after coaching CYA lower travel, but interesting to say the least...

Bermudez for some reason organizes CYA AAU teams, but I guess it isn't good enough for his kid, so he is coaching Nova Cavs instead. So there's a connection.

That obviously tracks. It seems like from what I’ve read, Bermudez/Weinstein both brought their kids over to the Cavs from CYA.

Is Weinstein a female? If so I saw her son working out with VAElite. Some of the Chantilly High School coaches are at VAElite.

Weinstein is not female. Weinstein used to be Bermudez asst coach I think.

Weinstein is a female and yes, she used to help Bermudez out.

Is it possible these are two different people? My DS was at the Cavs tryout for 15U, definitely was not a female...

Maybe her husband is coaching now, but I never saw him in the past.

Is her husband in his maybe mid twenties?

More than likely that’s her older son. The brother to the 9th grader

Interesting, thanks for the info!

Definitely is, he seemed you like a very young man. I will say, I chatted with my DS on the way home, it was above and beyond the best organized tryout we’ve seen.
