"Biden only gave us 75% of what we want. Therefore he's no better than Trump."

With this attitude, we're doomed.

Biden has lost my vote and before you say it is the congress who needs to pass the legislation, I don’t care. He is the leader of the party. If he can’t bring about changes that are important to me, I will vote for the candidate who aligns with my views even if it is a candidate who has no chance of winning. Maybe if more of us actually vote for a third party candidate, they will start taking us seriously and bring about meaningful changes. Our votes cannot be this cheap.

Enough with the infantile foot-stomping. It's Biden or barbarism. That's the choice.

The sky isn’t falling, cupcake. Barbarism didn’t come close to being as catastrophic as you hoped it would last time around.

And yet it was a complete and total 5hitshow that ended with an attempted coup.

It is a complete shit show right now as well. What has Biden accomplished in his 4 years? Tell me one piece of legislation that has been significant in making our lives better. The point is it doesn’t matter who is in the White House so might as well vote for third party candidates with a clear conscience. Neither party is focused on making our lives better or improving our kids future. They were eight selfish corporate shills who only focus on arms manufacturing, corporate interest

You haven’t paid attention. Look on social media where almost every Republican politician has tried to take credit for infrastructure projects or other major investments or projects than none of them voted for. Biden and Democrats did that. For two years of all Democratic government it functioned in a boringly stable manner without Congress manufacturing imaginary crises and clown shows. We went from Covid crash and meltdown back to economic and social normalcy in almost no time. Competent, stable, predictable government is a lot more important than anyone realizes. It allows businesses and people to focus on their own interests and priorities instead of wasting every day reacting to the offensive threats and stupid and often illegal nonsense that the lunatic former President posted daily on Twitter.

I explained the problem to you as to why Dems are ALSO undesirable to many people. They are full of sh!t too and limiting freedoms like some dictatorships. You’re OK as long as you say the right things. It is scary Iron Curtain type stuff. Not necessarily Joe - he is a dying breed. The government is not spying on you. You are delusional.

What the Democrats offer is competent government that passes appropriations bills, responds appropriately to disasters and other emergencies, moderately reforms and updated basic programs and policies to keep up with technology and court decisions, appoints qualified and capable department and agency heads, and performs moderate oversight to prevent egregious fraud in the private sector. Otherwise, Democrats support your freedom and opportunity to do whatever the hell you want so long as it isn’t causing significant harm to other people.

Tell me … did they repeal the Patriot Act implemented by Bush? Seems like they’ve fully embraced it.

Do they have 60 votes in the Senate to repeal it?

No?

Then... ?????

Dems LOVE the Patriot Act. They will never repeal it even though it was supposed to expire. (Ditto GOP, which shouldn’t have to be stated.)

Sorry clicked on submit too soon. Meant to say both parties are filled with corporate shills who couldn’t care less about the issues that matter to us such as public education, climate change, health care. Isn’t it laughable that it was the Trump administration that passed maternity leave legislation and Biden has not done a single thing for women during his time in office. Why should I vote for him? If you guys are that scared of Trump, put someone better in charge of the Democratic Party.

He's absolutely right. Everyone who does not want Trump to be president in 2024 must get behind Biden. Period. Full stop.

"Full stop" is a signal to ignore everything that came before it.

This. Many of us want an antidote to the many bad decisions of recent decades. The Democrats like a lot of the GOP’s crap (GWOT, Patriot Act, endless wars, GFC bailouts, and more), but they (senior Dems+their friends) want the lucre from themselves. If they dealt with this crap, the present GOP would fold.

Omg, just give them more than a couple months to get to these things before you start whining, then?

These disasters are about decades of crap, dumbass. We need new faces and new minds.

That’s great, but can we focus on the fascists right in front of us and how we stop THEM first?

Yes, decades of crap MOSTLY caused by idiot Rs and their right wing media.

I understand the throw them all out sentiment, I do. But please understand that this country is actually teetering on the brink of disaster if the Rs take control on the federal level.

I realize focus is not a strong point for a lot of people out there, but I am literally begging you to get your head on straight and understand the looming disaster we are facing if we don’t get this right.

You can kiss anything else you want goodbye after next November.

Only father time can replace the voters but it is possible to replace the crap leadership within a decade. The replacements don't necessarily have to be new faces. Better leaders than what we have now already exist in local, state, and national politics. They just don't currently have leader status at the national level.
