What if OP was martial arts trained and when defending herself from a violent assault she delivered a blow that killed her opponent?
Would the DCUM crowd take issue with that outcome? Not everyone has the time, or resources for the years of training it would take to attain those skills and even if sufficiently skilled size and number of attackers may render training moot.
So concealed carry is a reasonable alternative.
