I admire it. He is very committed to the work despite all this hate. Nobody cares about school board until you have something to complain about.
Do you know he was ready to quit the school board during his current term when a space in the House of Delegates opened up? He lost the primary and that’s why he is still on the school board. That is not someone who is “committed to the work.”
+1000.
Karl Frisch is committed to (1) Karl Frisch; (2) Karl Frisch's political allies; and (3) the LBGTQIA community. Kids do not matter to him one iota, unless they also happen to be LBGTQIA. He has not been an advocate for all kids in his district.
So you think that just because he’s gay he only cares about gay people?

I care that he has been a proponent for wasting money and building a school where a school was not needed. I am a Shrevewood parent whose youngest child is likely to be zoned to the new Dunn Loring school once it is built. We've spent years building relationships at our current school. We LOVE it there. And you're moving my child to a new school why exactly?? We didn't ask for this, we just asked for rezoning to relieve some congestion and guess what? Post Covid our school isn't even overcrowded anymore. Dunn Loring is a HUGE waste of money. That's why I don't like this guy. NOT because of his sexuality, I don't give a shit who he loves. I do give a shit that he's in this for his OWN interests and not the community's interests.
Great. I'm glad you don't. But there are many, many parents who do. And their politics come out every time a Moms for Liberty group wants to ban a book. It's scary bad.
NOPE. You need to stop.People here have said they have issues with what he has done on the school board, not with his sexual orientation. I am a die hard liberal, I am all for the equity initiatives and other things that right wing nut jobs go on and on about here. What I'm not for is some selfish a-hole joining the school board solely because he wants to further his own political career. And I am sure he's not the only one on the school board in this position. I just know the most about him because I live in his district.

It is though. Having more former FCPS board member in the general assembly is going to be great because they will actually try to fix the funding formula that disadvantages Fairfax county.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:He also didn't attend FCPS. It's disgusting that people are willing to give him money when he has no business being on this board.
How long did he live in this county before entering the school board race originally?
Anonymous wrote:Inside knowledge for Frisch involves voting for what his husband wants.
How about actual knowledge? It makes no sense to me to vote for someone to run our school system who has no training and experience in education. I would much prefer if there were some rule regarding having a bachelor’s or masters degree in an area of education. That would really put the proper focus of our schools on education.
