I'm a curator at the Met, but I only work 30 hours a week. I have a trust fund. My lover is a gorgeous architect. We go out to eat twice a week and then make love for hours. He gets bagels and coffee the next morning and then leaves. I have a housekeeper but no pets or children.
Add yours.

I split the year in Edinburgh, Scotland, where I spend summers. I explore the highlands, castles and the fringe festival and all the historical landmarks.

I raised my daughter on my own for many years while finishing my PhD, and securing a tenure-track position, not not to mention looking after her father developed a severe mental illness after her birth. He had so many issues, including infedelity and abuse. I have never had a real partner, and I prioritized my daughter’s well-being over dating and meeting someone new. She is off to college now. My fantasy is that I will meet a kind man, who is funny and smart, and I will feel a deep connection with him.
Putting it out into the universe for you pp- you deserve it!

I work part-time at a job I love, pick up my children from school and go to pool, playground or arboretum with them. On Saturday mornings we walk to our neighborhood bakery to pick up fresh bread, and they eat warm rolls on the way back. We read books at home and snuggle before bed. My DH cooks dinner and after the kids go to sleep, we watch Netflix but only about 10 minutes because he insists on pausing it every 30 seconds to tell me something (about the show, about his day, about something he read). We go to bed early and everything is calm. That’s my life and I think it’s better than any fantasy I could have!
Kudos to you with your attitude of gratitude! Here’s hoping your three kids inherit it from their mom!

We have a Cessna 180 on floats that we use to get into town once every few weeks to socialize and stock up on supplies. We have a few friends around the lake, and kayak over to each other's house every now and then for a game of pinochle or an afternoon quilting together.
I keep a large vegetable garden, and spend most of August and September canning and "putting up for the winter". We hunt and fish. We keep chickens and bake our own bread. We have a couple spare rooms, or maybe a guest cabin, so friends or family can come stay with us for a few days. Our kids bring their kids to come learn to fish and kayak on the lake. We fly our 180 to even more remote lakes where we can hike up into the mountains and camp out. The stars are incredible.
Alaska poster from page 2. I love the idea of having a float plane! I’m adding that (and the lake!) to my fantasy. 😆
PP here. Maybe we'll be lake neighbors. Kayaking and cards on Thursday??
