There will never be meaningful gun control in this country. People see this stuff and how criminals get away with it and then think no one is protecting them and civilization generally. It leads to a Mad Max mentality.
And all of this breathes life into the Republican Party.
I don't know what needs to change. Whether it's laws or culture. But those teenage boys are wrecking everything for everyone.
Clearly their parents don't give a damn. Neither do their communities.
It's not a good moment for DC

Yes it does. And the good people of the neighborhood should be hopping mad that thieves among them are causing this to happen.
Only the people living there can fix this.
No, they can't. I've lived near there and chose to go to other stores or get delivery. Instacart groceries may not be 100% reliable but at least I'm not in the middle of a crime scene.
Hate to break it to you but there is plenty of crime associated with instacart shoppers. That’s not necessarily a better alternative.
Please say more. From my perspective, I order groceries, pay for them and have them delivered to my house. That's much better than being in a store while someone is looting it or, as someone noted is happening elsewhere in another post, getting mugged in the parking lot.
Several stories have cropped up about Shoppers scamming their clients:

In my mom’s Detroit neighborhood more deliveries marks you as someone with some means. Porch pirates abound, but they are getting more brazen too.
All that I get from those stories is use a credit card not a debit card, is there a bigger point?

Some of culprits are 18+.
And the those culprits under 18yrs old are from broken families with dad in jail, living with grandma, mom might not be around....you name it.
I take it you've never ventured into an inner city before.
