I know. I’ve been back since 2020. How are their kids going to be learn resilience?

Most parents prefer it these days -- no need to go into the school itself. I will have my 20 years in 2 more years and I am thinking seriously of leaving the field.
+1
I’m a teacher who never would have even thought to work from home until the pandemic. While I don’t want full remote the luxury of one or two days from home would be lovely. I know as a teacher I can’t do that but it does make me want to look for other job opportunities.

Anonymous wrote:I am back 4 days a week. Big deal. I WFH Wed and breaks it up
I also get 4 weeks vacation and 10 holidays
I think going to work 4 days a week 45 weeks a year is not bad

Some were never in the office in the first place, which is why they are upset. Long before covid it was work from home. And, there is no real office, which is part of the issue too. Hot desks when everyone is on calls all day is very hard when you have 20-40 people in a room.
So, this is what feds say too. And many never HAD offices anyway. Cube farms are easy to build.
There were offices for some and they were removed for open space. They aren't even giving folks the luxury of cube farms. Cube farms would be better with assigned desks. They have an open floor plan with hot desks. Some were working at home 5 days a week prior to covid and now forced into the office 3 days a week. It should be job specific.
