Capacity numbers pulled from this doc:
https://www.apsva.us/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Capacity-Utilization-2021-to-2023-for-posting-online.pdf
Jamestown capacity: 597
enrollment: 479
Tuckahoe capacity: 545
enrollment: 454
Discovery capacity: 630
enrollment: 527
Taylor capacity: 659
enrollment: 532
Under-utilized seats: 439
Nottingham enrollment: 402
And they haven't had to touch Cardinal, which is already at 708 with 732 capacity and can't take any trailers.
You aren't going to believe APS data, are you?!![]()
The naysayers here will remind you that these are today's numbers and by 2026 all the schools, including NES will surely be at or above capacity.

But for kids at Tuckahoe that likely means Cardinal and many of those families would be Cardinal walkers anyway. For Discovery it might mean bus to Jamestown. This just isn’t a big deal for anyone except the Nottingham parents who are convinced it will kill all pedestrians on Little Falls!

The only option would be Cardinal or Discovery.
I would think either Cardinal or you stay at Tuckahoe and get a lot of trailers.
Tuckahoe is already maxed out on trailers. No additional room. At one time there were trailers in the back of the school but it was then determined those were unsafe. Something about ground water levels.
They are maxed out on trailers now? Then what do they think about the plan to close Nottingham and send them even more kids? Or are they even aware?

This is correct. Tuckahoe doesn’t have to worry about more trailers. They already have the ones they would use. Either does Discovery which can’t take trailers. So, this “your kids will be in dozens of trailers” scare tactic from Nottingham is silly. There are facilities reports that outline who can and can’t take more trailers.
