I know you're being snarky. Hard to argue with capacity and number of students they counted at a past point in time. I'm sure people will find a way.

It's almost as if they didn't do this they are doing a really bad job of managing taxpayer resources. Because leaving 400+ seats empty when there aren't any signs they're filling back up again anytime soon would be bad management.

Cardinal is pretty full already and with that giant development going in where the Reeves farmhouse used to be, will be very full. I think they'll leave Cardinal out of all this.

I think they'll push all these kids north of Langston to the various schools (where yes there is enough room) and leave the Tuckahoe kids south of langston busing to Tuckahoe. But who knows.

There are 2 trailers on the property that aren't used as classrooms. Basically extended day storage. I guess those could be dusted off.

The alarmists here don’t seem to understand how it works. If they can’t put more trailers they can’t add more kids. They will redistrict. But for kids at Tuckahoe that likely means Cardinal and many of those families would be Cardinal walkers anyway. For Discovery it might mean bus to Jamestown. This just isn’t a big deal for anyone except the Nottingham parents who are convinced it will kill all pedestrians on Little Falls!

I think they’re in denial. I know, it’s easy to tune out when you think your school is safe. No one can keep up with everything APS throws at us year after year, it’s just too exhausting.

If I was an extended day parent I’d be very afraid.

Why is no one mentioning Jamestown in any of this? They have a lot of capacity. Some kids will get pushed there (and should get pushed there).

This is correct. Tuckahoe doesn’t have to worry about more trailers. They already have the ones they would use. Either does Discovery which can’t take trailers. So, this “your kids will be in dozens of trailers” scare tactic from Nottingham is silly. There are facilities reports that outline who can and can’t take more trailers.


Right, the current Tuckahoe and Discovery kids won’t have to worry about more trailers because a lot of them will be redistricted out of their current schools (to Taylor? Cardinal?) to make room for incoming Nottingham kids.
