+1 on all of this except the dating apps (which I just don't know anything about).

- a 55 year old man, married but would have dated someone like this in my 30s, before I got married.

Or Taylor Swift. But I'm pretty sure these women can afford to be picky, and they also have a sort of particular lifestyle. The average, never-married 35+ person is just not really in the same position.

Some people don't want to be married and that's fine. But I think people that are older and have a history of being mostly single... tend to have issues. That's not to say they cannot be charming or interesting, but good luck with anything requiring compromise.

People are having kids much later in life. Most of the time I am the youngest among the dads. I had my first child when I was 25 and second 31. And we are 2 and done lol. But we married younger than most though. I was only 24 and she was 22. There are pros and cons to this. It requires more work on the marriage that's for sure.

But hey good for parents who had their kids later. As long as they want to be parents age is not as important.
