But I’ve seen similar stickers in the past year.

Are they teaching their kid to maul other kids?

It means they are not raising a bunch of sensible losers that at the drop of a petal need to run and hide in a safe zone, and also letting the world know they are not concerned with their opinion.
Lions lead, sheep follow and sometimes as is visible everywhere, to their destruction.

Dunning–Kruger effect

Ironically that is not actually an example of the Dunning-Kruger effect.

I have seen Trump stickers on Subarus before, so it's not a perfect system, but we can learn a lot about the intention of the sticker from its surroundings.

OP here:
It was on the back window of an unremarkable midsized SUV. Maybe a Ford or Hyundai? I can’t remember.

They had a yellow Don’t Tread on Me license from Virginia. I guess that puts it all in context.

Not sure why you started the thread then if you knew all the answers?

The only lions in America are in cages behind bars so I guess that tracks....

Huh. I must be younger than you. I once saw a Black Flag sticker on a Cadillac.

Totally missed the basic reference

DP. Right back at ya, sparky.

Love it when someone is both smug and wrong at the same time!

If it helps, I got the Ataris reference, and I am of the Deadhead gen

Kind of. They're raising little sociopaths who don't care about the good of the community.

PP was referencing the later cover version of that song…

+1. The Ataris. Great cover.

Thanks for the reference! I had no idea there was a cover. Great cover version, too! (Now I need to Google "Black Flag.")

WHAT?? 😑

NP, but the first time I heard that song I had never seen a Black Flag sticker anywhere so I didn't know what they looked like. The next time I saw a sticker with a mostly black flag on it I assumed that must be it. That's how I ended up thinking that the thin blue line bumper stickers were Black Flag stickers for years.

Haha. The thin blue line is basically the opposite of what Black Flag stood for!
