I can buy our way into anywhere. Enjoy your red state misery, scumbag.

I was thinking Canada, but it seems too close.

Why not Mexico or El Salvador?
Cuba and Venezuela are better.

Not even close. Crimes rates in Cuba are essentially nonexistent compared to Mexico. We were in Santiago de Cuba last year for vacation and felt totally safe for the first time in our lives. No guns, totally opposite of life here in the U-S-of-NRA.
Cuba is at the very top of our list when we retire and ready to jump off this sinking ship. If another republican is ever elected to the White House we’ll be leaving immediately. H and I just need to learn Spanish.
Is this a joke? The QOL in Cuba is so incredibly low. There are massive shortages of goods. Things you take for granted like Tylenol are unavailable. You’d need to have US friends and family send you care packages with basic goods including food. You’d need to sew and mend a lot of your clothing. I’m not sure legally how it would work renting or owning property but I can’t imagine it’s a place where property rights are respected.
The difference in QOL of someone living middle class in Florida and middle class in Cuba is incredible. You’d be much better off moving to Florida.

This is a spectacularly ignorant and I’ll informed comment. Wow.
What makes it spectacularly ignorant and *I’ll* informed, exactly?
Please, enlighten all of us.
Have you actually spent time in Cuba, outside of the resorts? Travelled around the country? Stayed for more than a week or two?
I love the country. I've visited a dozen times, sometimes for a few months. (I'm not American).
You're spectacularly ignorant just for thinking you can retire there. You can't. There is absolutely no mechanism to do so. If you're serious, you should divorce your "H" and marry a Cuban, but you might have a hard time convincing him to live there.
