Sounds like it was rapid decompression and all on board were unconscious before the crash.

Washington Post called the owner and he confirmed his daughter, granddaughter and the granddaughter's nanny were on the plane. He said to please let him go because he was working with the FAA and he needed to keep the lines cleared for them. Politico called back an hour later to ask the guy's wife for comment.

I was in Arlington and heard it- near McLean.

I was deep in Tysons mall and didn’t hear it, but now am home in Alexandria and the flight paths out of DCA are weird tonight, looks like they’re climbing faster and a couple of planes have turned to go over this neighborhood instead of staying over the river, have not seen that before.

I heard in Woodbridge. Was walking in a parking lot and heard but didn't feel anything. Husband was home and said the whole house shook.

I also heard it in Takoma Park. Loud enough for me to run around the house and then outside to see what happened.

Heard it loudly in Capitol Hill.

We felt it in West Springfield, it felt like a big tree had come down. What was strange is that our dog heard it but wasn't concerned. I went outside to see if I could see any downed trees and the birds were chirping away, unconcerned. The animals heard and felt it but didn't care.
