Are you or your sister pregnant? You should host a baby shower on the same day and invite the same people.

Why is everyone dragging the stepmom? It’s not her wedding, and she doesn’t have control over invitations, it seems like she feels bad her stepdaughters weren’t invited.

I'd pledge a ton of money to their honeymoon fund and forget to pay.

OP here. Stepmom was left both houses (approx 3M) his retirement, and savings (which were not disclosed but had to be sizable) and all of his kids were given an equal share of money.

I doubt I will see anything from my stepmom when she passes so I did think it was odd that my dad didn't anticipate this and provide more to me and my sister.

Half cousins are descended from half siblings and would share one grandparent. The children of two half siblings are first half cousins. If half siblings have children with another pair of half siblings, the resulting children would be double half first cousins.

Step mom and brother would be dead to me. There is no explanation that would make me understand their motive. And, they are cowards to not let you know ahead of time. Very disappointing. Not sure how often you see the step mother, but I would bet she (not the man child) will reach out to you again and at that point, I would simply tell her how disappointed and sad this made you feel. To sum up, what a prize this guy is.

You may want to stay in touch with half brother as he is going be in for a hard time with this woman. On the plus side, you don't have to buy a wedding gift or pay all that money to be there with a fiancee who finds you embarassing.
