Especially for dinners after 6pm. No child needs to be out that late at a restaurant.

I think more dining establishments need to barre anyone younger than 18.

I appreciate this policy. There are too many bad parents out there.

Learned this today the hard way at lunch. The host said there was an incident. I wonder if it is the one from this story:

There’s a restaurant in Ashburn that doesn’t allow anyone under 21 in. It’s great. so nice not dining with a bunch of messy loud rug rats. They belong in Red Robin.

They are discriminating against families with children.

I also would not give them my business.

They aren't discriminating against families with kids. You don't have to bring your kids and can get a babysitter. Lots of kids misbehave and the parents let them run wild and don't clean up after them. Its a safety issue.

+1. Not every restriction is discrimination. You could say that expensive restaurants discriminate against poor people or that Szechuan restaurants discriminate against people who can’t handle spice. There are plenty of other restaurants with age restrictions. And where I live, under 21’s are not allowed in some restaurants because they are classified as bars, even though they mostly serve food. There is a restaurant at a local ski resort that is restricted to 12+.

See for a lot of people, it is a really nice night out. Something they would save up for and look forward to. But a lot of UMC ppl treat it like chipotle.

It isn't age discrimination. I don't want to hear your kids
