That might depend on the school. I wouldn't count on it for every school.

In Europe now initial vaccination of kids under 18 is prohibited without special approval, but I am not a smart person if I don’t boost my college athlete 18 year old son who has had Covid?

Yet the US is still pushing boosters for all. Hard to not be very cynical about all of this. No data to back up Fauci’s ‘boosters for all’ mantra, yet it’s seen as the final word here in the US and people are still lining up to get boosters for their 13 year old boys.

It's actually incredibly scary. Even now, at this point in time, with all the data we have, our public health officials are pushing boosters for kids. Pediatricians are/were still pushing boosters on kids. There are random vaccine requirements still in place (eg. adult volunteers in MCPS needs to be vaccinated).

It's pretty clear to many of us that our public health officials are corrupt. Makes me wonder about lots of things - yearly mammograms (truly necessary?), annual flu shots (beneficial to all?).

Hard to know who to believe. But, I do know that I'll be taking what the CDC says with a grain of salt. And definitely looking at what other countries are doing to get some diversity of thought. It's clear that the US media was censoring diverse thought regarding Covid and the Covid shots. What else gets censorsed?

Until a few weeks ago, you had to prove you were vaccinated just to take a tour of Boston College!
There is a shelter near me (Prince William county) that asks for volunteers to cook and serve meals--you have to be "fully vaccinated" to volunteer.
It's ludicrous.

The risk of myocarditis from getting covid is much higher than from getting the vaccine.

But not everyone actually gets Covid. Everyone that gets the vaccine, gets the vaccine.

People may not show symptoms of covid even while having the virus in their system, but that doesn't mean "they dont get covid" - that isn't a thing.

You're saying that every single person on earth has had Covid? You're the same person that "personally witnessed" several children dying from Covid, right?

Yep. There's someone in my circle with long covid and it has totally diminished their quality of life. I can't imagine anyone who knows someone with it thinking they'll just take their chances.

My DH was vaccinated twice and received two boosters, one of which was last fall. We all got covid in February and he is still struggling with it. Out of all of us (the rest of us received our two but no boosters), he is the one who ended up with long covid. I think it's a roulette wheel, boosted or not.

It is but he might have fared fare worse without the shots. Sorry you are dealing with this—I still worry what the next 5-10 years will bring for my son who has mild long covid—we are just leaning each day of new issues

Your kid is free to attend any school that does not require the vax. Colleges are free to set their own reqs for attendance. Don’t like them choose to go elsewhere.

I’ve witnessed kids who died from covid with no other issues pre vax. I’ve witnessed healthy adults die as well. I’ve got friends and family with long covid. You are free to have your opinions, but you have to live with the consequences of that. Luckily for you there are many choices that will suit you—liberty is still accepting students

Are you a hospital nurse or doctor? That's a lot of deaths to personally witness! From my understanding, very few children died of covid--and you actually watched several of them die. Wow.

Not only do I not know anyone who died of Covid, I don't even know anyone that had a particularly difficult time with it (beyond generally "bad flu" type symptoms.)

Well lucky for you. I personally know 2 healthy kids who died before vaccines. And several adults who came close (one being an unvaxed relative who had double pneumonia and nearly died). The fact you don’t know anyone does not mean people did not die. I know one of the first kids in nyc area to die in april 2020–very sad situation and difficult time. The fact you do not know anyone who died does not change this Fact

You must be surrounded by very unhealthy, or unlucky, people if you know so many kids who died from covid. Of the 1.1 million or so deaths from covid, about 1,600 were people under the age of 18.

Totally healthy kids—just unlucky. But that doesn’t change the fact they ar Edward. Kids do get covid and have long term effects. Kids have died who were not immunockmpromised. Both died before vaxes were available—one during the nyc peak of 2020. So not surrounded by “unhealthy” people. It’s reality for many…. You just don’t want to believe it
