A “FREE appropriate public education” isn’t a “handout,” it is a statutory right. If the “usual” level of instruction leaves students in need of more the school system is obliged to provide it. They need to be held to that obligation. Schools waste preposterous amounts of money on social engineering and other nonsense; local governments waste even more on vote-buying initiatives and wasteful self indulgence to benefit the people at the top.
That is not true. Unless your child has an IEP, then it is not on the school to help little Jane (who chooses to not listen during class) with one-on-one support. Schools do not have the resources, staffing, or funds to give every child an individualized education plan. Parents need to supplement and stop assuming it is the school/teacher that are failing to meet their needs. Maybe kids need to step up more, show up to class, get off their phones, be respectful, and LISTEN in order to understand content.

15-hour package: $89/hr
25-hour package: $79/hr
45-hour package: $69/hr
115-hour package: $59/hr
250-hour package: $55/hr
Obviously 250 hours would be hard to use through the summer, and I guess nobody really knows at this point if MCPS is funding 2023-2024 school year stuff
We are looking for a middle school math teacher who is good at challenging advanced learners. If you know such a Tutor Me Education tutor, please recommend. Thanks.
