It should ended after either episode 4 or 8. No reason to jump ahead 8 mos in the former, or keep going for episode 10. Just had to get deliberately philosophical.

Isaac kept really moving the drama forward each and every time tho…

I’m maybe in episode 3.5 and it’s getting pretty dark and precarious.

I don’t agree with the NextDoor hunt for the car drivers. I haven’t seen much survive a 48 hour news cycle on there.

Naomi I can’t figure out why she was in Vegas, does she work with one of those two companies?

Both Beef and The Bear are intense shows. I had to be in the right frame of mind to watch episodes.


PP. I loved loves loved the Bear and didn’t need to be “prepared” to watch it. I didn’t feel stressed about it. I just would characterize it as a drama not a comedy.

Beef is stressful and deals with negative energy and people who are acting-out and engaging in deviant and criminal behaviors. Who have mental illness in my opinion. Couldn’t watch and go to sleep and also can’t stop watching it to know how this ends.

I liked episode 10 too. Closing with his arm moving was a nice touch. Didn’t have to be a romantic thing, just two problematic/destructive people finding common ground.

One thing that I thought was funny was that the closing music from pretty much every episode could have been on my .mp3 list from the 90s/00s. Whoever picked that out is in their 40s now. Mayonnaise by the Smashing Pumpkins as a closer was great.

Very late to this game - but we finally watched Beef and holy cow - it was so dark, intense, stressful, funny, STRESSFUL.

I loved it. I was on the edge of my seat through all of it. I didn't RELATE to it one iota but I really believed these people doing these terrible things.

Steven Yuen is the best actor. Ali Wong is not as good.

I liked the show so much I was goigling. David Choe is a great artist. He did most of the art for the opening credits. He also did murals for Facebook when their building opened. He took stock options instead of cash. $200M now!

I hated 10. Their drug induced conversations were boring. Way too long. Didn't like this ending at all.
