Well I’m not running for President, but I admit I would be disadvantaged in a debate with him and the other GOP sociopaths who have the ability to spit out endless streams of ridiculous nonsense full of right-wing trigger words with a straight face.
I have 30+ years of public policy expertise so I know how the government works, what is and isn’t Constitutional, what is and isn’t politically feasible, and a lot of facts and truth about history and public policy, but arguments based on knowledge are no good in a Republican debate.
We have another Chief Policy Officer in the building griping about the fact that politicians make unrealistic promises on the campaign trail lol. Democrats make unrealistic promises too. Did this somehow escape you with all of your wonderful experience?
I understand political rhetoric. This is not about overpromising. Your Uber-educated hero here says incredibly idiotic things that no educated person could believe. Everything he says is complete nonsense. He either knows nothing at all about government and policy or he is a lying sociopath. Either way, how can anyone believe in this guy?
It's working for him. He's already doing better in the race than anyone could have imagined.
All politicians are liars, and a good many are sociopaths. You pick the ones that can marshall their qualities to improve your individual station or the nation as whole.
