The “busy work” in ES is just as valuable as the focused work because it is a time to practice what they are learning. Teachers are presenting material in multiple ways with different methods to help kids learn and master the material.


Cutting out morning meetings will save 2.5 hours a week. Removing Morning announcements, moment of silence, and the pledge would easily save 45 minutes or more a week. They could also make the health lessons (not FLE), but health virtual/asynchronous. I have other ideas, but time could easily be cut.
